Defensive Driving Training Justified By Cost Savings
Posted by defensivedriver under Defensive Driving Basics , Defensive Driver CoursesNo Comments
Is defensive driving training is justified? Definitely.
One good reason is the reduced costs incurred when a driver is involved in an accident caused by a third party. These days, the major car insurers offer reduced premiums to drivers who enrol in defensive driving classes. When drivers take their classes progressively at designated intervals, the savings on insurance premiums can definitely make the cost of defensive driving training justified.
Many of us can remember an old but familiar driving safety slogan which points out that as a driver you may have the right of way, but if another driver disobeys traffic laws they could leave you “dead” right!
If teaching drivers to be constantly aware of their surroundings saves just one single accident, in terms of the injuries avoided, this would make defensive driving training justified.
