The Free Car.com is a website that offers you access to their list of companies who will pay you to drive a car. For a one time membersip fee of $29.50, you can either drive your own car and be paid, or they provide you with a “free car”.
What happens in essence is that companies will pay you to “wrap” your car with advertisements for their company, or lend you one of their cars to drive. In return, you are required to drive it in a high traffic area, where potential buyers will see the advertisements.

Depending on the individual company, you will be paid anywhere from $100 to $3200 a month to drive these ads on wheels. If you happen to receive the “free” car, the only outlay you will have is paying for gas and the auto insurance.

The list of companies is accessed via a membership plan, which provides a downloadable resource directory eBook which is regularly updated. The one-time cost of membership varies from $29.50 for a one year membership to $39.50 for a five year plan.

The resource directory contains applications which you can submit to the companies you are interested in working for.

Who Qualifies?

Applicants must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers licence and must be residents of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France or Spain. Most companies require a clean driving record and a minimum driving mileage. Those who have been convicted of a felony or charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol will have difficulty being accepted.

If you want to be paid for driving your own car, it must meet a designated standard to be eligible - at the least fairly new and in good condition.

Once submitted, the applications are reviewed by the relevant company, who contact you once there is an availability in your local area. In terms of availability, the general implication is that people who live in a metropolitan area might have a better chance of being approved.

What’s The Downside?

The availability in non-metropolitan areas can be pretty light on, this scheme certainly seems to suit residents in larger cities. The website does not offer personal testimonials from people who have experience with the paid driving programs in their directory.

Recommendation: A good opportunity if you live in a large city, don’t want the expense of buying a car and don’t mind driving around with advertising material on your car.
